What a weekend. The #StopRosebank Day of Action brought communities together in towns and cities across the UK, and online.
We had 20 actions over the weekend, each one powerful, creative and community-led. To name just a few: synchronised swimming in Penzance, mass bike ride between five MP/MSP offices in Edinburgh, community mobilisations outside Alistair Carmichael’s office in Shetland and Keir Starmer’s constituency in London. We filled out hundreds of postcards to our MPs and MSPs, and many actions landed local press coverage.
Other locations included: Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, South Shields, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Newark, Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol, Bath, Pontypridd, Bournemouth, and Newquay.
Thank you for being part of it. Whether you were on the streets, sharing online, writing to your MP and MSPs or cheering us on – you helped make this movement visible and powerful. Rosebank's chances are weaker because of what we’ve done together.
It’s not too late to join in.
We need a wave of digital action to match the energy on the streets and pressure our MPs and MSPs to take a stand.
